Established in 2007 by the Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute (GERMI), PDEU was formerly known as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU). The university’s 100-acre campus is situated in the Knowledge Corridor of Gandhinagar, approximately 23 kilometers north of Ahmedabad. PDEU comprises four schools: the School of Energy Technology (formerly School of Petroleum Technology), the School of Technology, the School of Management (formerly School of Petroleum Management), and the School of Liberal Studies. These schools offer a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in fields such as engineering, management, and liberal studies. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited with an ‘A++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). PDEU emphasizes research and innovation, aiming to create a talent pool to meet the human capital needs of various sectors.
